On Saturday July 16th, Prince Frederick Dodge Jeep Chrysler hosted their 4th annual Beach Party. The event offered a fun day of food, music, and games, along with special summer deals on new and used cars, and “Off to the Beach” car services for only $49.95. The car dealership prides itself on its customer service, and their successes were evident through the great number of past clients who came back to help make the Beach Party a hit.
Sales manager Joe Marcheggiani, who works in the area of used cars, commented that while the competitive prices and discounts on vehicles is one reason for the annual Beach Party, it is also a way to connect the community. “We try to do something every couple of months.” Prince Frederick Dodge often hosts events to reach out the county, such as their Annual Community Appreciation Day in June, which allowed residents to meet players from the Washington Redskins and see the Raminator Monster Truck.
Vendors and activities were set up throughout the dealership such as the giant water slide, bounce house, music from DJ Phil at WKIK 102.9, and food provided by Mike’s Barbecue and Catering, and Calvert Kettle Corn. Humane Society of Calvert County was showing adoptable pets. While parents looked at the newest deals on vehicles, children enjoyed the beach set up in the parking lot which allowed them to cool off on the hot day and search for hidden surprises under the sand.
One vendor that caught the eye of many was the set-up provides by Foundation 4 Heroes. This organization is a non-profit that strives to support the families of children with terminal illnesses. Their support of these strong children is backed up by their motto, “Even heroes need a hero.” Prince Frederick Dodge reached out to F4H to sell their handmade superhero masks and capes at the event. All of the money made from the Beach Party will go directly to the families of children with medical issues throughout Maryland.
