Calvert County Announces Independence Day Schedule
The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners announces that county offices will be closed Friday, July 3, 2015, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
In addition:
- The county senior centers will be closed and Meals on Wheels will not be delivered Friday, July 3.
- There will be no county bus service Friday, July 3 or Saturday, July 4.
- Calvert Library locations will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4.
- Mt. Hope, Southern and Northeast community centers will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4.
- The Appeal Landfill and county convenience centers will be open Friday, July 3, with regular hours. The landfill and convenience centers will be closed Saturday, July 4.
- Chesapeake Hills Golf Course will be open with regular hours July 3-4.
- The Calvert Marine Museum will close 2 p.m., Friday, July 3, to prepare for the Barenaked Ladies, Violent Femmes and Colin Hay concert. The museum will be open Saturday, July 4, from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m.
- Flag Ponds Nature Park will be open Friday, July 3, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, July 4, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Battle Creek Cypress Swamp will be open Friday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Kings Landing Park will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4.
- Edward Hall Aquatic Center and Kings Landing and Cove Point Park pools will have normal operating hours Friday, July 3. All three pools will close at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 4.
