It was the annual fundraiser for the Animal Relief Fund (ARF).
On Sunday June 4, 2017, the Dog Days of Summer Adopt-a-Thon and Beach Party was held at the Tiki Bar on Solomons Island. It was a beautiful day to be out on the island with the dogs.
Puppies and doggies brought their humans to the event to meet other canine friends from last year and make friends with new ones.
Animal rescues were on hand with puppies, dogs and kitties looking for a forever home. Clothes for your pet along with food, bowls, collars and leashes were available for sale. Some of the tables had information on kennels, spas and care for the pets. There was even a young man in a dog cage, raising bail money so he could be released!
For the family, live music with DJ Rick Watson, contest and games, photo booth for a picture with your pet, raffles, dog kissing booth and adoptions. And the Tiki was offering a free drink with every cat or dog adoption!
