Play Ball with The Arc of Southern Maryland and the Blue Crabs!
What: The Arc of Southern Maryland and the Blue Crabs will once again partner for the Community Caravan day of Service with a friendly game of adapted baseball.
Who: The Arc of Southern Maryland is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Arc provides services and supports for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living and working in Southern Maryland. The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are a professional independent league baseball team located in Waldorf, MD.
Why: The Blue Crabs have partnered with The Arc of Southern Maryland for four years as part of the team’s Community Relations efforts. The players, individuals supported by The Arc and staff play a friendly game of baseball adapted for individuals with disabilities. It’s an opportunity for individuals who otherwise would not be able to attend a baseball game to play and meet the players.
Who should attend: This event is not open to the public. Participation is for individuals supported by The Arc and staff.
When: The date for the game is: Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 9:30 a.m.- 2 p.m.
