The Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) is pleased to announce that Kathleen MacAdams, Business Retention Specialist, Economic Development, was selected as the June 2019 Employee of the Month. Kathy was hired in April 2018. In November she assumed responsibility for Economic Development’s Agricultural Development program when that position became vacant.
Kathy made program improvements, hosted meetings and events, attended workshops, and developed an excellent working relationship with local farmers. She also worked to launch Calvert’s new Ag website. She did all of this while performing all the functions required by her regular position.
The Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) was created on January 1, 1982, to publicly recognize county employees with awards such as Employee of the Month. The Employee of the Month Award acknowledges individual excellence for superior job performance and/or special individual efforts that go above and beyond the employee’s normal job duties.
The categories for recognition are: quality of work, respect of fellow employees, effectiveness of public contact, contributions toward improving organizational morale, quantity of work, and/or actions that improve the public image of County Government.
Kathy’s optimism, dedication, and work ethic are truly commendable and she is an asset to Economic Development and to the Calvert community.
On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, the Calvert Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) presented her with a framed certificate and a check as Employee of the Month for June 2019.
