Calvert County Parks and Rec

CC Parks and Rec

The philosophy of the Calvert County Division of Parks and Recreation (CCPR) Sports Office is to provide the youth of Calvert County an organized program that will allow the participants to compete and learn the fundamentals of various sports. The objectives shall include the development of positive social values and character traits, good citizenship and physical and mental health.

The CCPR Sports Office goal is to instill the will to win and the courage to accept defeat or disappointment, with emphasis on exercise, fair play, fun and good sportsmanship.

General Information

The Sports Office sponsors and co-sponsors a variety of sports activities for youth and adult participants. Youth programs sponsored by the CCPR Sports Office include fall soccer, cheerleading, basketball, wrestling, summer sports camps, tennis, golf lessons and night golf tournaments at Chesapeake Hills Golf Course.

Adult programs sponsored by the Sports Office include 18 and over and 40 and over basketball, co-rec softball and the Chesapeake Hills Classic (net proceeds benefit the CCPR Therman Gray Memorial Scholarship Fund).
