Public is invited to participate in the Global Cardboard Challenge on October 15th at Annmarie Garden!
Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons, Maryland, invites the public to the 3rd Annual Cardboard Day of Play & Cardboard Art Show on Sunday, October 15, Noon-4:00pm. Admission is free for members, $4 for non-members; kids 4 & under are free. Families are invited to an afternoon of imaginative play and outrageous cardboard construction as Annmarie Garden participates in the Global Cardboard Challenge, an annual event that features kid-friendly engineering, play, and creativity challenges.
Tinkerers and budding engineers will love the cardboard construction zone full of giant boxes, tubes, and other wacky cardboard materials perfect for building a fort – or whatever the imagination can dream up. From mini-golf to cardboard cornhole, families can enjoy friendly competition and groovy gameplay. Stop by one of several art stations to create your own cardboard masterpiece or cardboard hat. Visit Cardboard City or the Cardboard Farm for endless imaginative play. Aspiring actors can visit the shadow puppet theater for some outstanding impromptu performances. There will be plenty of great photo opportunities, so get ready to grab a cardboard prop, strike a pose and capture great memories!
The event will also include a Cardboard Art Show open to all ages. Cardboard artwork must be at least 75% cardboard. To enter the Art Show, drop your art off at Annmarie Garden, on or before October 14.
