Charles Horsmon retired on March 28, 2021, after dedicating 19 years of faithful and loyal service to the citizens of Calvert County and the State of Maryland.
Charles’s admirable career began with Calvert County Government on October 10, 2001, as a Facility Coordinator II with Parks and Recreation. On February 20, 2017, he was promoted to Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Worker I with Parks and Recreation, where he was again promoted to Parks Maintenance Specialist II on June 25, 2018, where he served until his retirement.
His service was demonstrated with a spirit of pride and commitment throughout his exemplary career with the Department of Parks & Recreation. In that same spirit, Charles has been honored with the employee of the month award and was a member of multiple team excellence awards throughout his illustrious career.
The Calvert Board of County Commissioners presented a proclamation on April 13, 2021, as a tribute to Charles’s outstanding accomplishments and hard work during his distinguished career, hereby recognizing this remarkable employee who strived to improve the quality of life for all Calvert County citizens.
Be it therefore proclaimed by the Calvert Board of County Commissioners that the appreciation of all Calvert County citizens is hereby extended to Charles Horsmon on his retirement after 19 years of reliable and commendable public service.
It was further proclaimed that the Calvert Board of County Commissioners joins the community and Charles’s co-workers, family, and friends in conveying best wishes for a long, healthy, and happy retirement with continued success in all of his future endeavors.
