The Calvert Education Association (CEA) and Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS) continue the process of contract
negotiations for the 2015-2016 contract year. Since exchanging initial proposals on February 23 and beginning negotiations on February 25, the parties have collaborated to reach tentative agreement on four contract articles that had been opened for negotiation.
The remaining two open articles pertain to salary and benefits, and given the current funding uncertainties of the FY16 budget, both parties mutually agreed to table those articles until the budget picture becomes more definitive.
In the meantime, the Association and Board will continue to advocate for needed funding increases from state and local government officials.
