Chesapeake Bay Blues Completes Lineup

Ches Bay Blues Festival

Chesapeake Bay Events has just signed the last two bands completing its best lineup ever.

Saturday, May 16, will open with 18 year old blues sensation from South Carolina, Marcus King and his band.  Marcus’ first paying gig was at 8 years old.  He played in his father’s band at 11 and opened for Johnny Winter at 15.  He cites his influences as Duane Allman, Warren Haynes, Little Feat and Aretha Franklin.

Sunday will open with an all star lineup of local musicians, including Dean Rosenthal, Mark Wenner, Tommy Lepson, Pete Ragusa, Jan Zukowski  and Robert Frohm.

These two acts bands are joining Gregg Allman, Buddy Guy with Quinn Sullivan, Jonny Lang, Beth Hart, Charlie Musselwhite, Bobby Rush, Shemekia Copeland, Tommy Castro and the Painkillers, Mingo Fishtrap, Jarekus Singleton, Davy Knowles, The Sisterhood of Soul with Patty Reese, Lil’ Margie Clark, Sylver Logan Sharp, Lisa Lim, Justine Miller, Heather Haze and Leigh Pilzer.

The festival will be held on Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th, 2015 at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, Maryland.

In addition to top notch national talent performing on a large stage with video walls there will be a variety of food vendors, a craft village, activities for children, and of course the Chesapeake Bay!!

General Admission tickets are still available for purchase online at www.bayblues.org or by phone at 410-982-0799. VIP Tickets are sold out.

There are three parking options during the event.  Kent Narrows High School on the Eastern Shore and Naval Academy Stadium on Rowe Blvd will offer parking with shuttles running to the venue throughout the day. There is also limited onsite parking at Sandy Point on a first come, first serve basis.
