Following the guidance of state and local officials, Calvert Marine Museum (CMM) is still temporarily closed. We are, however, taking new steps every day to provide you with opportunities to stay connected to the museum from home. Read more below!
World Otter Day
Join us online as we celebrate World Otter Day TODAY on social media and our website. Take a behind-the-scenes tour and see how our Estuarine Biology team works every day to take care of our three river otters. Download activities to do from home, like instructions for otter-gami. You can even send us your questions for the aquarists and hear their answers during our “Ask Me Anything” session.

Virtual Summer Camps
Join CMM’s Education Department for our first “Virtual Summer Camp Experience!” CMM will provide packaged kits containing materials for the program that can be safely picked up from the main museum campus. Interact with your counselor and fellow campers during a daily Zoom meeting. For each session, the museum educator will provide instruction and lead one or more activities.

Curbside Pickup at the Museum Store
The Museum Store is now offering curbside pickup! Every week, we’ll pick a theme and post items in our Facebook and Instagram stories. If you see something you want, send us a message or give us a call at 410-326-2750 to arrange for payment and curbside pickup.
As we slowly move toward a new normal, we thank you for continuing to support local! Your purchase at the Museum Store helps to provide local jobs and operational support here at the museum.
