Public Comment Sought on Regional Planning DocumentsC-SMMPO

Public comment is now being accepted on two regional planning documents developed by the Calvert-St. Mary’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (C-SMMPO).

The C-SMMPO has published a Transportation Improvement Program and a Unified Planning Work Program as part of the local metropolitan planning process. Public comment on the documents is being accepted now through April 10. Follow the link below for descriptions, contact information and links to the full documents.

C-SMMPO Planning Documents

Public comments will be accepted from Friday, March 27, 2015 through Monday, April 10, 2015.  Comments can be submitted via email to Patricia Haddon, Principal Planner, Community Planning and Building, Calvert County at haddonpj@co.cal.md.us , via fax to 410-414-3092 or by mail to 150 Main Street, 3rd Floor, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.  Hard copies of this document may be obtained at Community Planning and Building, 150 Main St., 3rd Floor, Prince Frederick, MD 20678, or at any of Calvert County’s public libraries.

On March 25, 2015, the Calvert-St. Mary’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (C-SMMPO) Council published a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The Fiscal Year (FY) 2015-2018 TIP, which is a component of the prescribed Metropolitan Planning Process, is a compendium of all federally-funded and regionally significant transportation projects that have been programmed for a four-year period for the C-SMMPO Area. This TIP is being made available for review and comment by the public consistent with the Organization’s Public Participation Program and will be submitted for approval by the Calvert-St. Mary’s Metropolitan Planning Organization Council on April 20, 2015.
