The Easter Bunny, American Legion Post 274 and Patuxent High School NJROTC came together to raise funds for the unit.
The Patuxent High School NJROTC Boosters held an Easter Breakfast on Sunday, March 15th from 8:00 am to 11:30 am at the American Legion Post 274 in Lusby, Maryland. For $8.00 patrons had an all-you-can-eat breakfast and children enjoyed crafts, games, and coloring and met the Easter Bunny to have their pictures taken.
Members of the NJROTC Team as well as members of the American Legion Post 274 and Sons of the Legion cooked and served almost 100 breakfasts of omelets, eggs, chipped beef, pancakes and corned beef hash.
The event went well, raising over $500, and proved once again that the community is willing to support this wonderful unit. NJROTC Booster President Jada Stuckert indicated monies that have been raised this year will be used to award four scholarships to Patuxent High School NJROTC senior cadets at their annual Change of Command Ceremony in May and to purchase a new tow-behind trailer for Commander.
Anyone wishing to donate to the Patuxent High School NJROTC until can do so via check made payable to PHS-NJROTC or by visiting the units GoFundMe site at www.gofundme.com/phsnjrotc
