The ERC is pleased to announce that Garrick Hendricks, Election Systems Automation Coordinator, Election Board, was selected as the Employee of the Month October 2018. Wes LePre with the Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) introduced Gee to the Calvert Board of County Commissioners.
Garrick was being recognized for making emergency repairs to a state computer. The Election Board was down by two employees and two computers during the recent primary election, the state was unable to deliver a computer for at least three months! Gee completed the needed repairs even though he was in the midst of preparing 24 precincts for Election Day. Because of Garrick’s efforts, the Election Board was able to get all of the provisional ballots processed on time.
The Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) was created on January 1, 1982. One of our primary functions is publicly recognizing County employees for outstanding performance, and one way this is achieved is through the Employee of the Month Award program.
he Employee of the Month Award acknowledges individual excellence for superior job performance and/or special individual efforts that go above and beyond the employee’s normal job duties. The categories for recognition are quality of work, respect of fellow employees, effectiveness of public contact, contributions toward improving organizational morale, quantity of work, and/or actions that improve public image of county government.
The Calvert Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) presented Garrick (Gee) Hendricks with a framed certificate and a check as his reward at their November 13, 2018 meeting.
