The Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) was created on January 1, 1982. One of our primary functions is publicly recognizing County employees for outstanding performance. One way this is achieved is through the Employee of the Month program.
The Employee of the Month Award acknowledges individual excellence for superior job performance and/or special individual efforts that go above and beyond the employee’s normal job duties. The categories for recognition are quality of work, respect of fellow employees, effectiveness of public contact, contributions toward improving organizational morale, quantity of work, and/or actions that improve public image of county government.
The ERC is pleased to announce that Leza Hepler, Executive Administrative Assistant, Finance & Budget, was selected as the January 2019 Employee of the Month.
Leza Hepler is being recognized for her contributions to the Finance & Budget office. She has incorporated many positive changes including streamlining office procedures and making sure everyone is included in all processes. Citizens and coworkers alike benefit from Leza’s upbeat positive attitude. Leza puts in whatever effort is needed for any job, even tasks that are not her direct responsibility.
Leza is a true superstar to Calvert County Government!
At the Calvert Board of County Commissioners on February 5, 2019, Leza Hepler was presented a check and a framed certificate as Employee of the Month for January 2019.
