An American Flag was donated by Exelon Militaries Actively Connected (E-MAC) at Exelon Generation at Calvert Cliffs. The flag, measuring 20’ X 30’, was needed to replace the one that waves on Route 4 at Dowell Road. The Charles Serabian Flag site is maintained by Arick l Lore American Legion Post 274 in Lusby.
On Veterans Day, November 11, 2018, on a very crisp autumn morning at 8 am, a group of hardy souls gathered at the flag pole to hold a memorial service and raise the new flag.
Attending the flag raising were Commander Eric Walls of American Legion Post 274, Past commander Nate Stevens of Post 274, Chaplin Warren Kidwell of Post 274, Auxiliary President Kathryn Rivers of Post 274, Heidi Walls and son, and from Exelon E*MAC Tuane Young, Christopher McCall, and Denise Camp.
