Debra Nevin was presented by the Employee Recognition Committee to the Calvert Board of County Commissioners on March 8, 2016, as Employee of the Month for February. Debra is a Calvert County Sheriff’s Office employee, assigned to the Administrative & Judicial Services Bureau.
Debra was assigned the task of transitioning the “Request for Training” program to the Administrative & Judicial Services Bureau. While transitioning the program, she did a complete review of the program and discovered that it was in need of an overhaul. She found several steps that were unnecessary and several steps to be added, to create a streamlined, paperless system.
Debra had only been asked to assume a new duty, but she took it upon herself to maximize the routine assignment with the available resources to provide the best program.
On February 10th, the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office implemented the new training request program. Debra’s work on this project will save the Sheriff’s office valuable time and money. It will also ensure the community is served more efficiently.
As Employee of the Month for February 2016, Debra was presented with a certificate and a small check by the Calvert Board of County Commissioners.
Congratulations for a job well done, Debra!
