The Employee Recognition Committee of the Calvert County Government, submitted the name of Frank Salvato as Employee of the Month for January 2015. Frank works at Chesapeake Hills Golf Course as a Golf Shop Attendant I.
Frank has worked for Chesapeake Hills Golf Course for almost 5 years now. He is a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the United States Marine Corps. He has gone over and above his normal duties on many occasions, treating customers and co-workers with utmost respect.
Although his job is in the pro shop, he has volunteered to work on the maintenance crew, when faced with staffing issues and emergency situations. Frank helped remove trees and debris from both hurricanes, as well as filling in as an Outside Golf Services Attendant and Bartender. With the course being open from 6 am to 9 pm in the summer, sometimes a staff member cannot make a shift. But Frank always says “yes” when called, even at 5 am for a 6 am shift. He has always gone above and beyond his job duties for the past 5 years and is always happy to help.
The Calvert Board of County Commissioners presented Frank with a check and a certificate at their meeting on February 3, 2015.
