Malcolm Funn was honored at the Calvert Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on May 10, 2016 for the 10 years he served the citizens of Calvert County as a member of the Planning Commission.
Mr Funn actively participated in the deliberations, oversight, and management of Calvert County’s growth and development. He also contributed to the plans of land preservation and parks and recreation, worked on the Solomons Town Center Master Plan in 2009, the St Leonard Town Center Master Plan in 2013, the 2010 amendments to the Calvert County Comprehensive Plan and 37 sets of text amendments to the 2006 Calvert County Zoning Ordinance.
He always had an interest in the future welfare of Calvert County and attended special meetings, forums, and public hearings, and the Calvert County Planning Commission meetings.
The Calvert Board of County Commissioners presented Malcolm Funn with a proclamation, as a tribute to his accomplishments made during his 10 years of service as a member of the Planning Commission and his efforts to improve the quality of life for all Calvert County citizens. The BOCC extended appreciation for his years of outstanding service to Calvert County. They also wished him continued success in all his future endeavors.
