Gov Hogan “Struts His Stuff” at Pawject Runway

Administration Supports BARCS Adoption Efforts

Governor Larry Hogan walked in the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter’s (BARCS) “Pawject Runway” event, held at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore City on Saturday, May 5. The annual fashion show features Baltimore Ravens players, journalists, and local celebrities walking the runway with adoptable cats and dogs from the shelter. The governor and his granddaughter, Daniella, walked down the runway with several puppies who are available for adoption.

“All of these animals deserve a great, loving home, and I encourage all Marylanders who are able to care for a pet to consider adopting,” said Governor Hogan.

Governor Hogan recently signed into law several bipartisan animal welfare measures to safeguard domestic animals and encourage pet adoption (Senate Bill 675; House Bill 1662; Senate Bill 1038).
