Calvert Animal Welfare League (CAWL) an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue group. Through telephone and email networking, we help to solve problems to keep more pets in their homes. Advice, referrals to breed rescue and other humane organizations, list of lost and found pets, wanted and give up pet requests form much of the community service our volunteers do.
Our mission is to serve the pets and people of Calvert County by operating a state of the art animal adoption and education center. Our goal is to provide a friendly, caring environment to promote the adoption of unwanted, homeless animals and to be able to support these animals until they are adopted. Our vision is to develop resources that allow us to offer educational programs that clearly define responsible pet care and respect for all animals.
