The “FARMERS, PATRIOTS and TRAITORS: Southern Maryland and the War of 1812” Interpretive Exhibit combines informative panels with exciting artifacts and images that help bring the exhibit to life.
Stop by the visitor center to view exhibits on the history of the JPPM property and those who lived here. View artifacts from every county in Maryland and learn about archaeological discoveries made here on Park & Museum property. Don’t forget to stop by our Visitor Center Gift Shop and enjoy 25% off. The shop offers merchandise and literature for children and adults with a focus on local and regional history and the people and culture of the times from primitive America to today. Featuring historical and contemporary games and toys, souvenirs, and arts & crafts by local artisans.
The event culminates with Tavern Night! Enjoy an evening experience full of the sights and sounds of an 1800’s tavern featuring live music by Ship’s Company. Beer, wine, and food will be available for purchase all day.
Entrance to the 1812 Fair and Reenactment is $3 per person or $10 per car. Tavern Night is $10 per person, $8 for Friends members or guests in period costume. All proceeds from Tavern Night will support educational programming at JPPM.
