Juvenile Shot with Arrow Flown Out

CCSO VanOn February 26, 2015, at approximately 11:45 am, units from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Valley Lee Court in Prince Frederick, Maryland in reference to an accidental injury involving a juvenile. Upon arriving on location, units discovered a 12 year old male suffering from a single arrow impaled in his leg.  The juvenile victim was alert and talking to police and medical personnel on the scene.

On scene investigation revealed the juvenile victim and his friend were playing, when his friend pulled a bow back and accidentally released the arrow in the direction of the victim.  The juvenile victim was transported via MSP helicopter to Children’s Hospital to have the impaled object removed.  The juvenile victim is said to be listed in stable condition.  Calvert County Sheriff’s Office personnel have ruled this incident accidental.
