Overnight Lane Closures Begin Sunday Night on Outer Loop of I-95 / I-495 over Suitland Pkwy
Crews Will Perform Concrete Driving Surface Repairs
Beginning Sunday night, March 5 (weather permitting), the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will temporarily close lanes on the I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) outer loop over Suitland Parkway between Exit 9 (MD 337 – Allentown Road) and Exit 11 (MD 4 – Pennsylvania Avenue) in Prince George’s County. Weather and progress permitting, the work should be complete by the end of March.
Crews will close lanes for concrete deck (driving surface) repairs overnight, Sunday through Thursday:
- one left lane at 9 p.m.
- Two lanes at 10 p.m.
- Three lanes at 11 p.m.
The contractor should open all lanes by 5 a.m. the next day. Drivers should plan ahead, consider alternate routes and expect delays.
