Stuart Peachey “The Land They Left Behind
Take yourself back to the world of Shakespeare during the lecture given on Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. by Stuart Peachey, a legendary expert in 17th-century rural life, who will reveal the food, drink, and society of England that St. Mary’s settlers knew. Stuart Peachey is best known for building his own 17th-century farm in England as documented in the 12 part BBC series Tales From the Green Valley. Please join us for this free lecture held in the Visitor Center Auditorium at Historic St. Mary’s City, located at Rosecroft Road, St. Mary’s City.
