Overnight Work includes Storm Water Management and Shoulder Widening
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will be installing overhead signage on MD 3 (Crain Highway) between MD 450 (Defense Highway) and Governor Bridge Road tomorrow night. The work will begin at 8 p.m. and will require several 15-minute closures until 5 a.m. Friday.
Crews are also working on storm water management and widening the shoulders of the roadway as part of the $2.9 million MD 3 at Forest Drive geometric improvement project.
The project is expected to be complete by summer 2021. For more information, visit the Project Portal Site.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes.
Drive like you work here and slow-down in construction zones. For a list of all major MDOT SHA projects, go to roads.maryland.gov. For a look at real-time traffic conditions, go to www.md511.maryland.gov.
