Meet Kim Money with Department of Finance and Budget

2022-04-16

Meet Kim Money, an accounts receivable technician I with the Department of Finance & Budget.

Kim is a Calvert County native. She graduated from Calvert High School, worked for Calvert Bank, County First Bank and Community Bank of the Chesapeake in various positions throughout her banking career, and now spends her days as a valued member of Calvert County Government! Day to day, she collaborates with her team in Finance & Budget and the COVID-19 Rental Assistance team on everything from monthly bank reconciliations to processing rental assistance wires.

“I find it very rewarding,” says Kim. “I am part of a process that helps and assists many tenants remain in their rental homes during these challenging times.”

Before Kim joined Calvert County Government, she says she didn’t realize how many different departments and responsibilities of which Calvert County Government consisted. Now, though, she’s happy and proud to provide assistance to Calvert County citizens alongside her fabulous and friendly coworkers. “I enjoy work every day,” says Kim. “When you have a great supervisor, how can you not!”

Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren and fur babies, spending time with family, camping with her husband in their RV and searching for shark teeth along the beautiful beaches of Calvert County.

Thank you, Kim, for all that you do!
