Boardwalk, Bike Path, Parks and Public Restrooms to Reopen
In collaboration with Governor Hogan’s Maryland Strong: Roadmap to Recovery, the Town of North Beach (NB) will apply a Roll Out Plan for town-owned properties and buildings. This plan does not include a set of fixed dates, but serves as a guide to show the intended path forward.
Stage One of the Rollout Plan will reopen areas and activities with a lower level of virus transfer. Effective Monday, May 11, 2020 at 7 am, the following public areas will reopen with precautionary measures in place for staff and citizens:
- Bike Path
- Sunrise Garden
- Wetlands Overlook Park
- Public Restrooms
Pursuant to Executive Order No 20-05-06-01 issued by Governor Hogan on May 6, 2020, individuals in the State of Maryland have been ordered to stay at home except during the performance of certain essential functions. Individuals are permitted to engage in certain outdoor activities, provided that individuals engaging in permitted outdoor activities comply with any directive of the Maryland Secretary of Health and the County Health Officer, and applicable social distancing guidance published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the Maryland Department of Health.
Public restrooms located at the Welcome Center and Wetlands Overlook Park will be open and maintained from 6 am to 8 pm daily. The beaches, benches, fishing platform and Callis Park will remain closed at this time.
