The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) honored Office on Aging Division Chief Susan Justice for dedicating 23 years of service to the county government and to the aging community in Calvert County. The BOCC wished her well in her retirement and expressed heartfelt gratitude for her efforts to help provide the best quality of life for elderly citizens.
Susan’s career began with the county government on May 4, 1998 as an aging services fiscal manager. She served in that capacity until August 2008, when she was promoted to office on aging division chief, where she served until her retirement.
During her tenure as division chief, Susan managed staff at three senior center locations and consistently participated, often in a leadership role, with the Maryland Department of Aging’s committees, earning her a reputation as a subject matter expert on all areas related to aging. She also held an instrumental role during the construction of the North Beach Senior Center and expansion of the Southern Pines Senior Center wing.
Thank you for your service, Susan.
And congratulations on retirement!
