Officers Helping NJROTC Collecting for Vets

CC BadgeFrom Monday, March 23rd, 2015 to Wednesday, April 1st, 2015, the Calvert County Sheriff’s badge1Office, along with Maryland State Police Barrack U, Huntingtown High School NJROTC and Command Sergeant Major Art Hutchins, U.S. Army (Ret.), will be collecting various items to take to our veterans at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.  We cannot thank our veterans enough for the sacrifice they have made to protect our country and our way of life.  Here is a list of items we are collecting:

Miscellaneous Items

  •  Large Print Puzzle Books
  • Magazines
  • Paperback Books
  • Playing Cards
  • Games, such as Checkers and Chess
  • Non-skid socks, athletic and casual socks (men’s and women’s sizes)
  • Lap robes, small blankets
  • Gloves (seasonal), scarves, baseball hats
  • Magnifying lenses, reading glasses (any strength)
  • Ink pens
  • Hand held games

Comfort Items

Toothbrush

  • Toothpaste
  • Combs
  • Shaving cream (NO AEROSOL CANS)
  • Razors for shaving (given to nurses stations for distribution – cannot be given directly to patients)
  • Mouthwash (CANNOT contain any alcohol)
  • Lotion
  • Shampoo and Conditioner
  • Body wash
