The Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) was created on January 1, 1982, to publicly recognize County employees with awards such as Employee of the Month.
The Employee of the Month Award acknowledges individual excellence for superior job performance and/or special individual efforts that go above and beyond the employee’s normal job duties.
The categories for recognition are: quality of work, respect of fellow employees, effectiveness of public contact, contributions toward improving organizational morale, quantity of work, and/or actions that improve the public image of County Government.
The ERC is pleased to announce that Detoria Jacks, Office Specialist I, Parks & Recreation, was selected as the July 2019 Employee of the Month.
Detoria Jacks was being recognized for excellent job performance, work ethic, and quality of work. While in a new position, Detoria assumed the duties of the job, caught up outstanding work, and improved processes. She implemented new invoicing procedures that ensured accuracy and reduced costs associated with late fees.
During this time, Detoria facilitated a smooth transition by offering support to the employee in her former position and providing guidance to the supervisor of that position.
The Calvert Board of County Commissioners recognized Detoria Jacks at their meeting on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 and presented her a certificate.
Congratulations, Detoria Jacks, for a job well done!
