The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson
The Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation invites citizens to participate in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ (WLSL) at aquatic facilities throughout Calvert County. The WLSL is a global event to raise awareness that swimming lessons can help prevent drowning and save lives. The event will be held on Thursday, June 21 at the following locations:
- King’s Landing Pool – 3255 Kings Landing Road, Huntingtown, 10-10:30 a.m.
- Cove Point Park Pool – 750 Cove Point Road, Lusby, 10-10:30 a.m.
- Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center – 130 Auto Drive, Prince Frederick, 6:30-7 p.m.
The WLSL event begins precisely at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and all participants must be registered, in position and ready to begin in advance of the official lesson start time. The Parks & Recreation activity number for this free event is 925400 and citizens can register online through the Parks & Recreation section of the Calvert County website. The swim lesson includes free general admission on June 21 for all registered participants ages 17 years and younger. For more information about WLSL visit WLSL.org or call the Edward T.
