Pepper’s Pet Pantry of Solomons, MD hosted an Adoption Day on Saturday, May 14 with multiple adoption organizations from Calvert & St. Mary’s counties. These are the profiles of the organizations and some of the lovable, adoptable friends they have available:

Doodle Dawgz: Small Dog Rescue www.doodledawgz.petfinder.com

“Doodle Dawz is a small organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of our smaller four-legged canine friends into quality loving homes. All of our precious rescued dogs are fostered in private residences where they have room to run, socialize, and live happy lives until being adopted.”

Contact Linda Gribben at Mygr8k9s@aol.com for adoption applications.

Second Hope Rescue, Inc., Leonardtown, MD www.secondhoperescue.org

“We are a group of animal-loving friends that have joined together to fill a niche in the Tri-County area of Southern Maryland. We are committed to giving “Second Hope” to hard to place animals (due to breed or age) that are searching for forever homes.”

Contact Second Hope Rescue, Inc. by calling (240) 925-0628 to inquire about adoptions.

Friends of Felines, Port Republic, MD www.friends-of-felines.com

“Friends of Felines’ focus is on rescuing free roaming or abandoned cats and placing them in managed colonies or permanent homes. Working with property owners and families throughout Calvert County Maryland, we help curb cat overpopulation at its source by providing a humane alternative to euthanasia. Our objective is to decrease the number of displaced cats and work alongside other rescue groups, Animal Control and the Tri-County Animal Shelter in our shared goal to make Calvert County a place where healthy stray cats are given a better future.”

Contact Friends of Felines by calling (410) 414-2122 to begin the process of adoption.

Pepper’s Pet Pantry is hosting the next Pet Adoption Day on Sunday, June 11 from 11:30 to 2:30 pm. Please enjoy the picture gallery below.
