While Calvert County has not yet seen its first case of Coronavirus, the pandemic is already claiming victims. The work and lifestyle disruptions have been challenging for many.
For Project ECHO, they’ve been devastating.
We’ve been forced to cancel all three of our new Pickleball events.
The Project ECHO Thrift & Gift Shop has been temporarily closed.
Worst of all, the 20th annual Empty Bowl Supper, our flagship fundraising event, cannot be held as scheduled on April 4th.
And while our fundraising is all but halted, our need is extraordinary. Like everyone else, we’re spending extra time and money ensuring our shelter and our residents remain free of COVID-19.
So today, I have an unusual request.
Will you donate $25, the cost of a ticket to the Empty Bowl Supper, to support Project ECHO?
There won’t be an Empty Bowl Supper on April 4th. But I’m hoping you’ll donate $25 or more anyway. While so many things in our lives have changed, one thing remains certain – our need to feed and house Project ECHO’s residents.
Will You Help?
In fact, if you’re one of the first 25 people to respond with a gift of $25 or more, I’ll save one of our hand-crafted, locally made Artisan Bowls for you.
It really will be an Empty Bowl. But it’s not about the soup. It’s about the people.
Thank you for your past support of Project ECHO. And thank you for considering a gift of $25 or more today to help Calvert County’s only homeless shelter at this critical moment.
