Team Excellence Award is given to and recognizes county employees who have excelled as a group and displayed cooperation and teamwork in the support of a common goal or project. The Employee Recognition Committee (ERC), in collaboration with the Department of Public Works, recommended the following employees from the Convenience Centers for a Team Excellence Award:
Howard Anderson Sr, Kathleen Barnes, Kimberly Baugher, Joseph Catlett, Lee Cattell, Michael Crusoe, Casey Dillard, Jack Fischer, Janet Garner, Daniel Glenn, James Gray, John Gray, Derrell Gross, Francis Harris, William Harris, Deidre Harvey, Theodore Janey, Keith Jones, Randy Lee, Desere Marshall, Glenn McCready, Marie Moore, Amanda Ratcliffe, Oliver Smith, George Steelberg, Gordon Taylor Jr, Charles Wallace, Robert Wallace, Seth Weems and Dane Whittington.
The Convenience Center employees serve all the citizens of Calvert County day in and day out and sometimes in extreme weather. The job can be difficult at best and even dirty, and these dedicated employees may be the only contact that some citizens have with the Calvert County Government.
Ms Pauline Rawlings-Wightman’s June 16, 2017 Letter to the Editor is one of many examples of positive feedback the County receives from citizens regarding the Convenience Center staff. The Team Excellence Award is an appropriate way to recognize the hard work these county employees do on a daily basis.
The Calvert Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) presented the employees of the Convenience Centers with a framed plaque at their September 12, 2017 meeting.
