Founders’ Day Celebration beginning at 6:00 pm at the Railway Museum, 4155 Mears Av, Chesapeake Beach, MD
To celebrate the 117th Anniversary of the founding of the Town of Chesapeake Beach on June 9, 1900 as well as the 20th Anniversary of the Friends of the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum, we present these highlight events on Friday, June 9, 2017, 6:00 pm on the porch of the Railway Museum: complimentary champagne toast for 21+, dedication of “The Dolores” train car that sits outside the Railway Museum as “The Loveless and Finlon Education Center” with a walk-through tour of the train car. Free and open to the public.
7:00 pm: Old-fashioned picnic-style dinner at the Rod ‘N Reel, 4165 Mears Avenue, Chesapeake Beach with program highlighting the history of the Railway Museum over the past 20 years. $25 per person for dinner.
