Lusby Convenience Center will permanently close Saturday, June 23, 2018
The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, June 19, to celebrate the opening of the new Appeal Convenience Center. The ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 3:30 p.m. and will be held rain or shine.
This new, state-of-the-art facility is located at 200 Sweetwater Road in Lusby. The new design allows one-way traffic flow for residents and eliminates wait time experienced at older sites. The site consolidates the original Lusby Convenience Center on H.G. Trueman Road and the previous convenience center located at the Appeal Solid Waste Facility.
The convenience center will open Tuesday, June 19, from 4-7 p.m. Regular hours for the convenience center begin Wednesday, June 20 and are Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. The Lusby Convenience Center will permanently close Saturday, June 23.
