Sample Solomons during 15th Annual Taste of Solomons, March 28 New this Year, Shuttles, More Restaurants, Organizations
New tastes abound in the historic Solomons Town Center as restaurants showcase selected food and beverages during the Taste of Solomons, a one-day food festival, 11 am to 4 pm, March 28. The event is one of the yearly signature events sponsored by the Solomons Business Association, with proceeds to benefit the association’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display.
“The Taste of Solomons is the best way to try Solomons’ restaurants affordably,” said Taste of Solomons Coordinator Eric Faughnan of Kingfisher’s Seafood House. “If you’re going to come to Solomons for one day, it’s the best way to sample the flavors of this wonderful waterfront community.”
New to this year’s event are the addition of two free shuttles that will offer convenient stops within walking distance to the 20 participating restaurants and organizations and will run throughout the Taste, beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.
Tickets are $4 each to sample the food or beverage featured at the participating businesses. They may be purchased at any of the participating businesses or at the McNelis Group. Each ticket can be exchanged for a sample of selected food or beverages. Most restaurants are also participating in a Gift Certificate Prize program, with some of the tickets at each location designated as prize winners. The lucky purchaser will be awarded a gift certificate for future use at the respective restaurant.
Participating restaurants are Anglers Seafood Bar & Grill, Back Creek Bistro, Bistro Belle Maison at Blue Heron Inn, Boomerang Original Ribs, Charles Street Brasserie, China Harbor Bistro, CD Café, Dry Dock at Zahniser’s, Grill Sergeant BBQ, Island Hideaway, Isaac’s at Holiday Inn, Laughing Buddha, Lighthouse Restaurant & Dock Bar, Lotus Kitchen/Kim’s Key Lime Pies, Kingfisher’s Seafood, Ruddy Duck, Solomons Pier and Striped Rock.
