We had over 30 people travel to Towson, Maryland to compete in the Special Olympics Summer Games.
From June 7-9, more than 1,500 athletes competed in the 2019 Special Olympics Maryland Summer Games, marking the 49th year of the organization’s largest statewide event. Athletics, bocce, cheerleading, softball, and swimming competitions took place across the three days at Towson University.
So many of our incredible athletes took home medals–even some taking home more than one!
We celebrated our Olympians with a pizza dinner on June 19th, where they shared stories and we all shared laughs. We are so proud of every one of these amazing individuals!
