Governor Larry Hogan Announces Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission Appointments
Governor Larry Hogan today announced the appointments of Allan H. Kittleman and Howard L. Metz to the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission. The governor made the selections following a review of the candidates who submitted applications.
“I’m pleased to congratulate Mr. Kittleman and Mr. Metz on their appointments to the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission,” said Governor Hogan. “These qualified appointees both bring decades of experience in labor-related issues, and I have full confidence in their ability to represent both employers and employees well.”
Allan Kittleman is the county executive for Howard County. Previously, Kittleman served in the Maryland State Senate, serving as Minority Leader. Kittleman received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. He has more than 30 years of experience working with issues related to workers’ compensation.
Howard Metz is currently a sole practitioner at Howard L. Metz, LLC in Frederick. Metz has more than 30 years experience in workers’ compensation and has served as a court-appointed mediator since 2000, conducting mediations and alternative dispute resolutions in Frederick and Washington Counties. Metz received his bachelor’s degree from American University and his Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law.
