As your State Senator I am honored to serve you on the Senate Education, Health and Environmental Affairs Committee. We held over 500 hearings on a wide variety of legislation, making us the busiest committee in Annapolis. This year we had many local and statewide education related bills come through the various Senate committees that should be of interest to those who work in education, or have a child in school.
Please join me for an open discussion on the impact of the education related legislation introduced and passed during the 2016 session as well as provide input for the upcoming session. We’ll talk about what happened, what didn’t, and why. Talking with you personally gives me a perspective other Senators may not have; I need to hear from you what is important for next year.
The meeting will take place, Wednesday, October 12th at the Lexington Park Library from 4:30-6:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public. There is no need to RSVP, however, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact my office at 410-841-3673 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
